Bangkok Trip – Asiatique

Heading to Bangkok for a short trip with the girls.

Visited the new place in Chao Praya River Area, Asiatique The River Front.

Basically is a hang out places with many restaurants/bars and shopping places that sell almost everything (imagine Chatuchak Weekend Market combines with restaurants/bars and Chao Praya River). It’s a huge place but well organized and worth to visit.

Getting there:

Take BTS to Saphan Thaksin and follow the sign until you find the pier to go to Asiatique.

There are two options:

1. Take the free shuttle boat that available until 11PM. But usually they have a long queue.

2. Pay 20 Bath and take the non free boat. It’s safe your time. You can find it near the free one. Just ask around.

3. Take the cab and surprisingly is not very expensive.  From Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit to Asiatique is around 100 bath. But in the afternoon, the traffic is very bad so better to take the taxi on your way back only.

Dinner at Ko Dang Talay Restaurant, a nice place with cruise theme. The foods are delicious. We ordered squid, crabs, tom yam and the bill hit almost 4000 bath for 4 people. LOL! Let’s say we are hungry like hell🙂
